Just got word back that though we were not accepted into the Smithsonian Arts and Crafts Show 2009, we did rank in the top 25%!  In a way, it is a good thing, since everyone is a bit spooked this year about the economy (happy halloween!) so it might not have been the best time to venture this one.  This will give us a year to keep developing the work and maybe add the fashion wearables to the mix in the meanwhile!  Top 25% ain’t so bad considering what a top-tier show it is (one of the best if not the top show in the country is the word on the street) and what outstanding talents apply to be one of the 120 selected.  Next year we’ll be ready!

Today it is raining buckets in San Francisco and I am home battling a cold watching the second season of The Wire which is turing out to be a really good show.  Hopefully I’ll have my energy back tomorrow to get back in studio and make some final pieces for the Philadelphia Museum Show weekend after next.  I’ve put together a great batch of work over the last month and am eager to share it!!
