Selvedge is the end all-be all of great textile arts and fashion-related craft magazines. Check out their online site HERE and be sure to visit their extensive bookstore!
They have a wonderful video on the site now of a weaver from China who makes eloquent mention of the emotional elements that are invested in a hand-made garment. It reminds me of a video I saw of the traditional hand-whipping of hot chocolate in Mexico, where the drink is considered to be imbued with the energy of the person who makes it. It is certainly an element of the work that can be appreciated consciously and felt on a subconscious level.
I hope one day we can get the Rose scarves up on their online shop-looks delish!
